Weekday Sketchers at American Folk Art Museum and Juilliard Concert Wednesday
Join us this week for a double-header.
The American Folk Art Museum and a Juilliard Concert in Alice Tully Hall.
The American Folk Art Museum on Lincoln is dedicated to the self taught American artist. The current exhibition, is the private collection of Audrey B. Heckler, is a display of works by more than 70 artists paired with artists' statements, histories and works from the museum's archives that offers a deeper perspective of he works. The works are considered "memory palaces", or visualizations of the artists stories. Come and capture the works on display or create your own mental landscape triggered by the exhibition.
After our morning in the museum we will move across the street to Alice Tully Hall for lunch in the atrium (bring your own or purchase it there) and then attend and sketch the Juilliard Chamber Concert at 1:00 PM. Since the morning session will be short because the museum opens at 11:30, we can return to the museum after the concert ends at 2:00 PM. Both the museum and the concert are free.
Please RSVP directly to Raylie Dunkel at firstname.lastname@example.org. Looking for us? Call or text Raylie at 201-978-6387. Bring a stool for the museum.
