Enjoy a day of sketching architecture,
the human figure or nature
in one of the city's largest cemeteries.
View the graves of some of the musical greats like Lionel Hampton, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, W.C. Handy, Max Roach, George M. Cohan and Irving Berlin; or historically significant figures of politics and business like Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, Isidor Straus, Joseph Pulitzer, Jay Gould, Robert Moses, Elizabeth Cady Staton, and F.W. Woolworth.
The mausoleums are elaborate and the landscapes are sweeping.
